From the first time the lead singer of the Chicago band oh my god introduced his band properly on stage in Ames, IA in 1998, opening up for Getaway Cruiser,(It’s “oh my god” not “OH MY GOD!”), I was hooked with their pop tunes that ranged from math rock to indie ballads, all with heavy bass organ sounds. When I did their poster for their stop in Denver in 2006, I decided to go with “devil-in-the-boxes,” because, well….why not?
